"Zoran Radosavljevic" sailing frigate



A traditional skiff frigate “Zoran Radosavljevic” was held during weekend on the Danube, at the Grand War Island.

The frigate is dedicated to the fighter pilot of our elite 127th squadron of the Yugoslav Air Force who laid his life for Serbia’s freedom on 26 March 1999.

The “Optimist” class, 33 skiffs competed while 17 skiff crews demonstrated their skills in “Mikro” and “Krstas” class.

Among the military crews competing in “Krstas” class the first to reach the finishing line was corvette lieutenant Aleksandar Djordjevic, while river units captain Jovan Kriviokapic took second place. In the “Optimist” class, Ivona Krosor from AIK Zemun yachting club was the most successful, while Dejan Anticv alos from the Zemun yachting club was best in “Mikro” class.

The organizer is the association of “Zoran Radosavljevic” frigate while the support was given by the City of Belgrade, Telekom Srbija (telephone company), SAILS, “Galeb” and “Milan Blagojevic” companies.
