Military Museum, Air Force Museum and ODBRANA media center in the Museum Nights



In the “Museum Nights” a large number of visitors went through the gates of he Military Museum in Kalemegdan, as well as the air force museum at Nikola Tesla airport and Media center ‘ODBRANA’.

The fanfare marked the beginning of this manifestation from the Kalemegdan terrace. The exhibition in the gallery of the Military Museum is dedicated to one of Serbia’s oldest institutions-the Military Academy. After seven years the visitors got a chance to see a part of the standing exhibition dedicated to WWII and the development of JNA, while a reenacting of a late 19c officers ball will be held in front of the Military Museum at 20:00, accompanied by the “Stanislav Binicki” quartet.
The Air Force Museum, an institution of importance for both civil and military air force, is a new spot on the Museum Nights for the fourth time with an exhibition “ 20 years since the opening of the Air Force Museum” , where the visitors can see one of the first engine-driven kites in our to have been used in Serbia, while two more modern kites will be exhibited in front of the museum. Fashion shows and the performance of ballet troops in the uniforms of flight attendants were held at 19” 20 and 21:00 while the planetarium was open from 18:00 to 22:00.

Another exhibition has just been opened under the title “Masters of the art” exhibition in Media center Odbrana where the visitors will be able to see the works of such great artists as Milan Konjovic, Petar Lubarda, Ljubica Cuca Sokic and Sava Sumanovic, accompanied by the soft music of the art ensemble “Stanislav Binicki”.
