Army scouts’ summer training

This and last week, members of the Army reconnaissance units have conducted summer training in areas outside their peacetime installations.
During this final segment of the training cycle, the scouts have practiced negotiating water obstacles using standard and improvised vessels and carried out tactical missions in different surroundings utilizing camouflage and concealment techniques.

The scouts have also practiced using the modern reconnaissance devices and systems that the units have been provided with in the previous period whose entering the service has greatly improved the units’ observation, data collection and processing capabilities.

Previously, the scouts successfully completed the swimming, martial arts fighting, and precision knife throwing training and learned how to survive and find food in the wild.
The all-year training conducted on various types of terrain throughout the country and in all weather conditions provides reconnaissance units with a high degree of competence and ability to provide troops with intelligence data during operations.
