Statement

For the sake of truthful public communication and in order to stop the spread of misinformation, the Ministry of Defence announces that the document bearing the Military Intelligence Agency document symbol, which has appeared on social media connecting Predrag Koluvija with the Military Intelligence Agency, is a counterfeit.

This fake document, whose content is not credible, bears a forged signature of the Military Intelligence Agency Director, Brigadier General Zoran Stojković, which was determined in 2019 by a forensic handwriting expert of the Ministry of Defence and the National Forensic Centre of the Criminal Police Department. The seal of the Military Intelligence Centre was misused by its former member.

The number under which the document was filed does not exist in the Military Intelligence Agency’s records, and the information provided in the document is entirely fabricated. The structure of the fake official document is totally inconsistent with the usual structure of Top Secret documents. We underline the fact that Predrag Koluvija is not, nor has he ever been, an officer of the Serbian Armed Forces. He is not a member of the Military Intelligence Agency, nor has he ever enjoyed associate status in the Military Intelligence Agency.

We hereby call upon the media and the public not to believe misinformation disseminated with the aim of damaging the reputation of the Military Intelligence Agency and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
