Ninth Session of Serbia - Algeria Defence Cooperation Committee



The ninth session of Mixed Committee tasked to oversee defence cooperation between Serbia and Algeria was being held over the past three days in Algeria.

The delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces was led by Assistant Minister for Human Resources Siniša Radović who is the co-chair of the Serbian part of the Mixed Committee tasked to oversee the defence cooperation. The audience of the session also included representatives of “Jugoimport SDPR” JP.

During the official talks, Assistant Minister Radović noted the upward trend of the defence cooperation between the two countries, expressing his belief that the session would initiate constructive discussions and good quality proposals that would be of use for the enhancement and concretisation of cooperation in areas of common interest.

At the plenary session, co-chaired by Assistant Minister Radović and Major General Smail Seddiki, Central Director for Materiel of the Ministry of National Defence of the PDR Algeria, and during meetings of five sub-committees for military-to-military, military economic, intelligence and security, military medical and military educational cooperation, the participants analysed the cooperation carried out in the previous period, and defined concrete proposals and activities to be undertaken by both sides with the view of further intensifying the defence cooperation.

At the session, the participants harmonised and signed Minutes of the work of the Mixed Committee, and proposed Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation between the two ministries of defence for the year 2023, by which they concluded the framework for the future cooperation.
