Statement

The Ministry of Defence hereby once again strongly denies the allegations the current head of the provisional institutions of self-government in Priština, Albin Kurti, has made, in an attempt to deceive the public, claiming that members of the Serbian Armed Forces were involved in the arrest of three armed members of the so-called "Kosovo Police", whose illegal movement was prevented deep inside the territory of central Serbia.

The Serbian Armed Forces carry out their regular assignments along the administrative boundary line with the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, in accordance with the legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia, under orders from the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, and in line with the Military Technical Agreement signed in Kumanovo in 1999.

The Serbian Armed Forces coordinate their activities with the international force deployed in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and fulfil all their obligations in accordance with applicable law.

The Serbian Armed Forces will never allow individuals in Priština, like Albin Kurti who continuously tells pathological lies, to place them in a misleading and untrue context.

The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them by the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, in an efficient and professional manner, and fulfil all their obligations required by law.
