Serbian missileers and pilots successful at live firing in Bulgaria

Members of the air defence artillery-missile units and aviation of the Serbian Armed Forces have successfully conducted this year’s live firing against aerial targets at the Shabla Range in the Republic of Bulgaria.
The firing was executed by the Neva and Kub missile system combat crews and the Mig-29 multi-purpose combat aircraft pilots from the Air Force and Air Defence of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as members of the Bulgarian air defence missile forces and aviation.

Surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles were fired at flare parachute and radio-controlled targets that simulated enemy aircraft. All targets designated for destruction were hit, which speaks of a high level of skill of the Air Force and Air Defence members, the reliability of SAF missiles fired by our personnel, and of the quality of preparations and firing practices that had previously been carried out.
Particularly satisfying was the fact that the youngest service members, for whom this was the first time to fire at aerial targets using live missiles, did exceptionally well.

This is the seventh time members of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence have participated in live fire exercises at the Shabla Range, i.e. the seventh time for missileers, and the fourth one for fighter pilots.
