Contracts for procurement of weapons for SAF signed
Contracts were signed today at the Sector for Material Resources, Ministry of Defence, to procure weapons for the Serbian Armed Forces from the product range offered by the Zastava Arms Company.
On behalf of the Ministry of Defence, the contract was signed by Colonel Dragan Panić, the representative of the Procurement and Sales Department, Material Resources Sector, on behalf of the Jugoimport SDPR Company by Assistant Director Aleksandar Lijaković, and on behalf of the Zastava Arms Company by Milena Milinković, executive director for legal and economic affairs.
The Ministry of Defence and other competent government bodies have taken measures, especially over the last six years, to modernize production lines, convert debts incurred until the end of 2016 and write off interest, which are a heavy burden to the factory. In 2017, at the proposal of the Ministry of Defence, the funds in the amount of 9.7 million euros for the first investment cycle were approved.
