Cooperation with the US Armed Forces European Command
Head of International Military Cooperation Milorad Peric and Head of the US delegation from the United States Armed Forces European Command Colonel David Watson signed the Plan for bilateral military cooperation for the fiscal year 2011, in Belgrade today.
The most important activities are continuation of the IMET program (education and advancement of our members in the USA), FMF and FMS (modernization and equipping of MoD and SAF), as well as activities from the programme of strategic partnership with the Ohio National Guard (organization of joint exercises and training of our members to participate in multinational operations). Prior to the signing of the Plan the Main Planning Conference was held, attended by representatives of the Pentagon, the US EUCOM, Ohio National Guard and the Defence Cooperation Office in Belgrade, as well as representatives from all the structures of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff.
