State Secretary Spasojevic in Croatia



State Secretary Dušan Spasojevic leads the delegation of the Ministry of Defense in a working visit to the Republic of Croatia.

During the talks with the State Secretary of the Croatian Ministry of Defense, Pjer Šimunovic, they discussed the issues relating to bilateral military cooperation for which they stated there is room for its improvement.

Both sides underlined the importance of the regional cooperation in the field of defence, which is one of major factors of regional stability, and they emphasized their satisfaction with good cooperation between the two ministries in the framework of the regional security initiatives.

The agreement on cooperation in the field of defence to be signed by the two ministers was accorded, as the official invitation was addressed to the Minister Dragan Šutanovac to visit the Republic of Croatia in the forthcoming period.

State Secretary Spasojevic met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Davor Božinovi?. At the meeting they discussed the issues related to the security and political situation in the region and the European integration of both the two countries and the Western Balkans. They expressed a high degree of consensus about the need for more intensive regional cooperation and the quickest possible integration of the region in the EU.

During his visit, Spasojevic met also with the Defence Advisor to the President of Croatia Zlatko Gareljic and Chairman of the Security Council Boris Spremo.
