Lecture of Academician Dobrica Cosic at the Military Academy
Writer and Academician Dobrica Cosic gave a lecture at the scientific and expert conference “Thought and work of the national hero General Dragoslav Petrovic Gorski”, which is being held at the Military Academy and the Military Geography Institute. Speaking of an outstanding combatant of the National Liberation Army and his war comrade from the Rasinski Partisan Detachment, Cosic emphasized that General Petrovic excelled with all the best features of a warior and the top commander.
- If I am to define my war commander by one virtue, as his comrade and political commissar, I will say that general Gorski was a man of high awareness and monastic commitment to the goal he strived to and duties he performed – the Academician Cosic said.
The scientific and expert conference dedicated to General Petrovi?, jointly organised by the Military Academy and the Military Geography Institute, was opened by the Commandant of the Military Academy Brigadier General Mladen Vuruna. There were twenty participants in the work of the gathering who indicated in their papers the role of General Petrovic in the war, and the trail left in the field of military geography, sports and other areas.
