Aircraft technicians in aviation squadrons undergo training

Training is underway for the personnel of aviation and helicopter squadrons responsible for maintaining the aircraft based at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.
The training is conducted as part of preparations for flight activities and during the "Technical Day", when it is made sure that all the unit’s combat and non-combat assets are operational and functioning.

The training programme requires that over a one-week cycle, the personnel goes through all standard procedures for performing specialist aircraft and helicopter maintenance checks, as well as inspections of aircraft engines, radio-navigation equipment and weapons, with particular emphasis on the arming and immediate preparation of the aircraft for flight and action.

The aim is to maintain the aircraft technicians’ technical mastery and to provide additional training for aviation NCOs who have recently been assigned to the unit.
Aircraft technicians serving with air brigades play a crucial role in making sure that planes and helicopters are airworthy and operational and in preparing them for combat. They demonstrate outstanding skills on a daily basis, providing support to these SAF units in their intensive flight activities.
