Donation by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence
Protocol on Donation by the Kingdom of Norway MoD concerning the additional equipment for the operation of the Deployable Hospital has been signed in Belgrade today by Polish Commander of the Deployable Hospital Role II Colonel Nikola Zec and Norwegian Defence Attaché in Belgrade Lt. Col. Terje Haverstad. Subject of donation are standby generators, air conditioners, extra tents and other technical equipment, worth 290,000 euros in total.
Training of MMA technical staff for operation, installation and use of the mentioned equipment will be realised in the period from 19 to 23 April in Belgrade, which will contribute to the high level of technical capability and equipment of all elements of the hospital for independent work in the field conditions.
Upon completion of the receipt of the donation the capacity of the MoD and SAF to participate in the UN-led multinational operations will significantly increase.
