Firing practices with IFVs

This week, members of the Mechanized Battalion, 2nd Army Brigade, have conducted firing practices with IFVs at the "Orešac" automated firing range.
For several days, the M-80A IFV crews practiced their procedures and performed familiarization fire and firing practices against targets at various distances, during the day and at night. They achieved very good and excellent firing scores, which confirmed that unit members possess a high degree of skill for performing tasks assigned to them.
By conducting firing practices, Serbian Armed Forces’ armoured and mechanized units are preparing for live fire drills and participation in tactical exercises the purpose of which is to maintain and improve the unit’s degree of skill and combat readiness.

The M-80A IFV is the principal combat asset of Army Brigades’ mechanized battalions. It ensures a rapid fielding of infantry forces and provides an effective fire support, which contributes largely to the protection of these forces and a successful execution of operations.
