Flight training underway

Members of the Air Force and Air Defence are undergoing routine flight training with Mi-35 and "gamma" helicopters at the "Morava" military airport and in the wider region of Kraljevo.
This is a part of planned training that is conducted in cycles throughout the year in order to maintain and improve the flight crews’ level of skill in the combat use of these helicopters.

During this period, pilots are practicing techniques and procedures for low altitude formation flights, landing and taking off on unsecured terrain, as well as reconnaissance and terrain searches in both favourable and reduced visibility conditions, in strong wind and rain, which make it difficult to perform tasks. The helicopter squadron’s maintenance technicians are actively involved in the flight training process, performing specialist technical inspections of the aircraft, checking the functionality of engines, radio-navigation equipment and weapons.
Owing to continuous training with the Mi-35 and "gamma" helicopters, professional members are highly skilled and ready to provide air support to Army forces during operations, and to carry out reconnaissance and air transport missions.
