Army scouts undergo cold-weather training

This week, members of the Armoured-Reconnaissance Battalion are doing tactical training in carrying out specific tasks during the winter months.
This is an integral part of regular reconnaissance units’ training, which aims to maintain the professional members’ level of skill in providing intelligence on operations conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces.

Scouts perform activities in rugged, mountainous area for several days, practicing tactical actions as part of reconnaissance patrols, camouflage techniques, bringing the unit to the task execution area, and carrying out surprise raids and ambushes. The training uses modern devices for observation and the collection and processing of intelligence data about the situation on the ground in all conditions, day and night.
Reconnaissance units’ training is a continuous process, conducted on different types of terrain throughout the country. The aim of the training is to prepare the scouts to effectively respond to situations similar to those they might encounter while carrying out missions deep in the enemy dispositions.
