New success of doctors from MMA



Another liver transplantation has been successfully performed in the Military Medical Academy today. This is the ninth liver transplantation in MMA, which is this time done in cooperation and direct participation of colleagues from the Clinical Centre in Niš.

A 59-year-old female patient stood the operation well and the immediate postoperative course runs regularly.

The MMA Management and the transplant team express their warmest gratitude to the family that approved taking their member’s organ after the conclusion of clinical death.

Thanks to this gesture, the national action, “Prolong the Life”, obtained another three healthy persons, since two kidneys were transplanted by team work in the Clinical Centre in Niš and the liver transplantation was done in MMA.
