Reconnaissance units undergo tactical training
Members of the Army reconnaissance units have been going through miscellaneous training content at the SAF training areas and drill grounds over the last few days.
This is part of regular training activities undergone by reconnaissance units, which aims to sharpen the professional staff’s skills in carrying out combat missions in all conditions at a high level. During the training conducted in various weather conditions and on complex terrain, scouts have been practicing tactics and procedures followed when going on reconnaissance patrols, staging surprise raids and ambushes and gathering intelligence about the enemy and the situation on the ground using modern observation devices SAF reconnaissance units are equipped with.
Reconnaissance training is conducted continuously throughout the year, aiming to prepare scouts for rapid and efficient reaction in situations they could find themselves in during the execution of mission-specific tasks throughout the depth of the enemy’s dispositions. This is the best way to maintain scouts’ physical fitness and mental stability at a high level, as well as their ability to successfully cope with the most difficult situations.
