This evening, in Belgrade, President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić presided of the session of the National Security Council.
The session was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović and other high-ranking officers from the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.

- It is important for us to call upon the Albanians and Serbs alike to preserve the peace and mitigate the situation, and I call upon the Serbs in the north to be composed and calm, and not to yield to the provocations and respect EULEX and KFOR.
We just wish our people to stay in their homes, and that is why we ask that the Brussels Agreement is honoured and the Community of Serbian Municipalities established. We will do everything in our power to preserve our fatherland and peace for all our citizens.

There cannot be surrender, we are all there for you - stated the president of the Republic following the session of the National Security Council.
