Advanced Parachute Training
This week, members of 63rd Parachute Brigade, who are undergoing advanced parachute training, performed jumps in the area of the military airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” in Niš.
This is a part of advanced training of military paratroopers, which is carried out to train members of the unit for jumps with a special “wing” type parachute, and to carry out combat actions in operations of particular importance following a special landing.
In line with training programme, they performed free jumps with full combat gear, with landing on small dimension areas, which requires superb skills of military paratroopers. Before this, they underwent training on land, which includes theory, work on parachute preparation and parachute devices, and intensified physical preparation.
Successful realisation of the advanced parachute training, provides 63rd Parachute Brigade with superiorly trained and competent personnel who make the backbone of this elite Serbian Armed Forces unit for the execution of special combat activities.
