Round table on Serbia joining the European Union
Strategic Research Institute of Defence Policy Sector has organized a round table today – “Security and defence aspects of the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union”. The Director of the Institute Lt. Gen. Milan Zaric spoke about the project tasks of that research project. The opening of the gathering was attended by the Chief of the Military Medical Academy Major General Prof. Miodrag Jevtic.
The round table was conducted in three panels. The first one discussed security and defence aspects of our country's accession to the European Union. The second was related to European Security and Defence Policy, while the participants in the third panel discussed the criteria required for membership in that organization. The experts from MoD, SAF, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, the Office for European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade and other scientific institutions dealing with security and defence participated at the gathering.
