Call for Primary School Pupils to Apply for Competition “Our Soldiers, Our Hero”
The Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education have opened a contest for primary school pupils titled “Our Soldier, our Hero”. The primary school pupils will have an opportunity to prepare a creative piece of work for the topic “Women in the Serbian Armed Forces: Heroines of the past, present, and future time”, and the most successful ones will receive valuable rewards.
The pupils will be able to express their creativity in one of three categories. In the Serbian language category, they will compete with their literary work - a poem or essay, while those talented for painting will have the opportunity to present their work using a technique of their choice. Primary school pupils gifted in engineering and technology will have an opportunity to express themselves with a short video or a model that would in the best possible way present their view of the said topic.
The contest propositions dictate that the work should be an original, authentic creation, and it must not infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of other persons.
The Ministry of Defence has prepared valuable rewards for the most creative authors classified in age categories as well as for their teachers. The first ranked will receive the stay in the military hotel in Tara, and the second place will get the stay in holiday and recreation military facility in Vrnjačka Banja, while the third ranked will be rewarded with books.
The primary school students who wish to participate in the competition are to hand over their works to their form masters or subject teachers no later than 20th February 2023.
The teachers will select the best works, and following the completed selection, the chosen works are required to be sent no later than 1st March 2023 to the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans of the Human Resources Sector of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
The Ministry of Defence call upon all interested primary school pupils to show their creativity on the topic “Women in the Serbian Armed Forces: Heroines of the past, present, and future time” and earn valuable awards.
