Message of congratulations from the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces for Army Day
Today, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić sent a message of congratulations for November 16 – the Army Day, which reads as follows:
“Best wishes to all members of the Army on their holiday, November 16, the Army Day.
The rich and glorious history of the Serbian people was marked by the Battle of Kolubara, which started on November 16, 1914, and in which the Serbian army proved to be indestructible and omnipotent, winning a victory when defeat seemed to be its only option.
Motivated by the heroism of your predecessors, you have demonstrated time and again superiority in performing your tasks, both at home and in multinational operations, regardless of the difficulties you face while doing so.
Always ready, cautious and professional, and most importantly, always at the service of the citizens of our country when they need you the most.
I extend my best wishes for your holiday, convinced that members of your service branch will continue to provide a firm foothold for us in preserving peace and stability”.
