8th “Ištvan Poljanac“ International Shooting Competition opened



The 8th "Ištvan Poljanac" International Shooting Competition was officially opened today at the Military Academy’s athletic hall.
  Besides Serbian competitors, more than 120 shooters from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia and North Macedonia are participating in the two-day tournament.
 
The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, a representative of the Department for Tradition, Standards and Veterans, Lieutenant Colonel Saša Ristić, the family members of the late Ištvan Poljanac, representatives of the Shooting Associations and numerous guests.

The competition was opened by the Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, who welcomed the competitors and wished them the best of luck and success in the competition.
  The competition is held in memory of Lieutenant Colonel Ištvan Poljanac, the Military Academy teacher and instructor and former president of the "Akademac" Shooting Club.
