Delegation of the Ministry of Defence at the SEDM Coordination Committee meeting



Delegation of the Ministry of Defence headed by the Had of the Department for International Military Cooperation Milorad Peri? took part in the meeting of the Coordination Committee of Southeastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM) organized by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria as the Chair of the Coordination Committee of SEDM, in Sofia, on 23/24 March,.

This is the first participation of the representatives from the Ministry of Defence in one of the SEDM forums since Serbia has become a full member of this regional initiative.

At the SEDM Coordinating Committee meeting the activities within the projects launched in the framework of the Southeastern Europe Defence Ministerial cooperation process are being discussed, such as project for simulation exercises, military-educational cooperation in SEE and the telemedicine project, as well as a proposal to start a new project for “Command, control , communications, computers and information cooperation in SEE”.

In addition to his participation in the meeting, during his stay in Sofia, Peric signed the Plan of bilateral military cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria for 2010.

Military cooperation between the two countries is developed, and the dominant activities are joint training and exercises, and cooperation on matters within the competence of the military police and in the field of military history and geography.
