Today, International Advanced First Aid Course intended for members of foreign armed forces ended in the Centre for Logistics Training in Niš.

The Course was attended by medical specialists from the Armed Forces of Egypt whose primary duties do not include urgent medical treatment. During the several-week long training, they were trained in providing medical care to the injured at the casualty site in peace and war circumstances, and in the case of natural disasters.

At the course, they practised the procedures applied during initial assessment of threat to the injured, triage, extraction of the injured to a safe zone, medical examination of the patients by control list, administering first aid and evacuation. The training was carried out by instructors from the Company for the training of medical service in cooperation with medical specialists from the Military Hospital Niš.

After successful completion of the Course, the attenders are fully trained in efficient use of assigned and makeshift devices while providing emergency medical assistance in different situations and in applying techniques and procedures used to prevent further deterioration of the state of the injured and ill.

The realisation of different forms of professional advancement of members of foreign armed forces in the Centre for Logistics Training represents a confirmation of the quality of training carried out in the Serbian Armed Forces, and it contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations with partner states, in this case with the Arab Republic of Egypt, with which our state speedily develops cooperation at all levels.
