72nd Special Operations Brigade combat teams demonstrate high degree of training

Members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade continuously conduct miscellaneous training in their bases and outside their peacetime locations, in order to maintain a high degree of skill in conducting special operations and operations of special importance.
Combat teams of the Special Operations Battalion “Griffins”, subordinate to this brigade, are doing certain segments of advanced training on one of the Serbian Armed Forces’ training grounds. Today, they were visited by Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, who attended the firing practice using the unit’s modern weapons.

Today, combat teams fired at targets using the machine guns fitted on Humvee combat vehicles, light machine guns, sniper and long-range rifles, achieving excellent results.
Expressing his satisfaction with the high level of competence for rapid and efficient neutralization of targets at medium and long distances demonstrated by the soldiers and officers, their attitude to assignments and high morale, Chief of the General Staff said that Special Forces were expected to always be the first to respond to any threats to the security of the state and citizens and to carry out every task assigned to them by the state or military leadership.
The demanding and complex training that is conducted in the 72nd Special Operations Brigade throughout the year, in all tactical and weather conditions and on all types of terrain, ensures a high level of competence, physical fitness and mental strength in soldiers and officers, as well as a high level of combat readiness that characterizes this elite SAF unit.
