Armoured units undergo specialized training

Soldiers who are performing their military service in armoured units are doing stationary camp at the "Orešac" training ground near Vršac.
Currently, they are doing individual specialized training, getting acquainted with the living and working arrangements in the field and training to carry out tasks as part of the armoured combat vehicle crews.

While in camp, which is a mandatory part of soldiers’ field training, soldiers carry out preliminary firing and range practice using the M-80A infantry fighting vehicle weapons. Range practice is a chance to assess the training effectiveness and the first opportunity for the soldiers to learn about the combat vehicles’ fire power and fighting capability.

Before embarking on the field training, the soldiers became fully acquainted with weapons, combat vehicles and their devices, and were trained to operate them and perform maintenance.
Due to the complexity of military duties they are preparing for, individual training for soldiers serving in armoured units lasts for four months. Next week, their level of training will be tested, and they will be assigned to SAF units where they will undergo collective training.
