Combat Helicopter Training in 98th Air Brigade

Wider area of Kraljevo, and the military airfield “Morava” in Lađevci are the locations where regular flying training is being conducted on combat helicopters that make part of the armament of the 98th Air Brigade.
The training is being conducted on helicopters Mi-35 and “Gama” and it is a part of planned training conducted throughout the year to maintain and raise the level of competence of flight crews for the execution of assigned tasks and combat use of the helicopters.

In this period the focus is on the realisation of training group flights in lower zones, both in favourable and adverse weather conditions, and on practicing the take-off and landing on inaccessible and unmarked terrains. In the continuation of the training the pilots are to undergo combat training the main segment of which will be the execution of live firing against targets on the ground.
Combat helicopters Mi-35 and “Gama” make organic weapons of the 714th Anti-armour helicopter squadron and they are used to provide air support to the Army units while executing defensive and assault operations.
