Leader Course for Future Non-Commissioned Officers



The NCO Training and Advancement Centre “MilunkaSavić” in Pančevo is currently conducting the 33rd in a row Leader Course, which is the first level of advancement of professional soldiers for NCO duties in the Serbian Armed Forces.
The six-week long course is attended by 87 soldiers selected from all SAF units, and the aim is to use that time to train them to take proper, confident and efficient command over a group, crew or team, and to execute tasks within the purview of deputy squad commander.

The course programme includes theoretical and practical content from several areas, such as leadership, knowledge of military regulations, military topography, drill, tactical, firing and physical training, so that the soldiers acquire a wide spectrum of knowledge that will be useful at initial NCO duties.
  The professional soldiers who successfully complete this level of advancement meet the conditions for the secondment to the Basic NCO Course, upon the completion of which, they will be promoted to sergeants and become non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces.
