Beginning of basic training for soldiers doing military service

The training for soldiers who started performing their voluntary military service at the beginning of this month, has officially began in the Basic Training Centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac today.
In the past few days, soldiers went through an adaptation period, learned about the living and working arrangements in the Serbian Armed Forces, were issued personal weapons and prepared for a period of intensive training.

Over the next five weeks, they will learn how to handle personal weapons and conduct basic tactical actions and procedures in combat. Their training will also include doing drill, learning the Service Regulations, and improving their physical fitness.
After the basic training, soldiers will go through specialized training depending on their branch or service. Afterwards, they will undergo a three-month collective training and actively engage in daily assignments in the Serbian Armed Forces units.
