72nd Special Operations Brigade combat teams undergo training



72nd Special Operations Brigade combat teams have undertaken numerous training activities as part of their summer training this month. The training was conducted on multiple locations throughout the country, in different microclimates and types of terrain.
The aim was to provide unit members with additional training so that they can use the acquired knowledge, skills and habits when conducting special operations in hilly, mountainous and difficult-to-pass terrain and in the vicinity of water obstacles.
The training was designed in such a way to require hard mental and physical effort, and it focused on the execution of firings, handling special assets and equipment, mental and physical training and following different tactical and technical procedures for conducting special actions and operations. It also included taking practice in fighting, climbing, swimming in the open waters, waterways and lakes, sailing a boat, landing onto the water, oxygen and air diving and finding food in the wild. 

This elite SAF brigade teams trained alongside members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior. The aim was to exchange experience and build mutual confidence and cooperation in preparation for potential joint engagement in complex and high-risk missions.
  The results of one-month demanding training have confirmed that members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade are capable of quick map orientation in the field, silent movement and overcoming natural and artificial obstacles rapidly and easily. They proved to be skilful in unexpected and most complex situations and fully competent to perform the unit-specific combat operations.
