Flight training at night with Mi-35 helicopters

Flight training at night using Mi-35 helicopters has been conducted at the "Morava" military airfield, Lađevci, and in the vicinity of Kraljevo.
By conducting this routine combat training, the flight crew of the 714th Anti-Tank Helicopter Squadron, 98th Air Brigade, maintains and raises their level of readiness to carry out missions at night and in reduced visibility.

Training flights in these conditions are a specific and very demanding form of pilot training. Pilots practice techniques and procedures for taking off and landing on unlit terrain, flying at low altitudes using modern navigation devices, carrying out terrain surveillance and selecting a target using state of the art surveillance and aiming systems and night vision.

The brigade’s technicians are actively involved in the training. They are responsible for the helicopters’ airworthiness and have a key role in preparing the aircraft for flight.
Mi-35 helicopters are intended for engaging targets on the ground when providing aerial fire support to the Army units. They can also be used to engage targets in the air, conduct reconnaissance and patrol missions, transport personnel and cargo, and perform airborne landing.
