LTG Miletic meets with Admiral Mullen



SAF CHOD LTG Miloje Miletic during his visit to USA, met with Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff of US Armed Forces in Pentagon today and the chief of US National Guard Bureau General Craig McKinley.
General Miletic acquainted Admiral Mullen of the positive effects of the visit to the Ohio National Guard,of the trilateral talks he had with ONG Commander Major General Gregory Wayt and the Hungarian CHOD General Laszlo Tombol.

He acquainted them of the course of the reforms in the defense system of Serbia and the results of the reform. The main talks focused on current security situation in the region, Kosovo issue and the situation in the Ground Security Zone.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen stressed that he was well acquainted with the course of reforms in the Serbian army and was fully supportive of the process. Furthermore, he emphasized that he saw Serbia as a leader in the region and as an inevitable and crucial factor of security. In the upcoming period the US Forces will continue to provide full support to the Serbian armed forces within the Partnership for Peace Program.
