Minister Siutanovac received the newly promoted generals on which occasion he stressed that the finalization of the professionalization process and strengthening the repute of SAF were to priority.
In an interview to Odbrana magazine, on occasion of MMA Day, Head of the Academy Major General dr Miodrag Jevtic stresses that the medical city inside MMA containing everything that the modern medicine can offer: treatment, educational process, research, small pharmaceutical production that produces solutions for our needs as well as the special solutions for transplant program,.

The topic of the issue are women in the security system. Serbia will soon be one of the few countries in the world which will strive to implement the UN Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, which means that MoD has recognized gender equality in the fields of defense and security as a necessary precondition in approximating Serbia to European integrations.
At the beginning of the training process in Zajecar for participation in peace missions LTG Ljubisa Dikovic, commander of the army, emphasized that the finishing the training process did not mean automatic expedition to a peace mission. The competent institutions decide on this, and it is up to SAF members to comply and carry out these decisions professionally which stems from the Constitutional role of the army of SAF.

At the time when the Yugoslav Navy could compete with other European armies, its 82ns submarine commando unit was the second in the continent-right behind Hubert unit, the French navy commandos. Today, after fifty years of establishing the unit, they rank among the best.
The stationary signaling hub on Mt. Kopaonik, on Pancic Summit, is one of twelve signaling centers of SAF with the main purpose of providing telecommunication connections.

The three centuries of the continuity of the Red Cross of Serbia has confirmed its reputation times over especially during wars. One of our greatest achievements is that our competitors are three-times champions in providing first aid.

Officers’ ball in Cacak was renewed in 1999 and has been a tradition ever since on St. Sava Day and Sretenje (Michaelmas) in memory of 1804 when the First Serbian Uprising started and 1835 when Serbia got its first Constitution.
