Patriarch Porfirije visits Military Academy
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has welcomed His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, who has visited the Military Academy today. On this occasion, Patriarch Porfirije addressed the cadets attending the Military Academy and the Military Medical Academy’s Medical Faculty and students of the Military Grammar School and Secondary Vocational Military School.
During the visit, Patriarch Porfirije and Minister Stefanović, accompanied by the Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, PhD, and Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, PHD, also visited the Chapel of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God and the memorial room at the Military Academy. 
Head of the Military Academy’s woodcarving workshop, Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Todorov presented a hand-carved wooden icon of the Most Holy Mother of God to Patriarch Porfirije and a hand-carved wooden icon of Saint George to Minister Stefanović.
