The Day of IT Department marked
The Day of the IT Service was celebrated in the IT Department of SAF GS.
The ceremony was attended by the representatives of mod and SAF GS.In his welcome address, and congratulating the Day of IT Department to all its members , the Head of the IT Dept. Major General Radivoj Vukobradovic stressed that great steps were made in the previous period.
- Our members have continued the trend of implementing and advancing new IT technology in SAF. Special results were achieved in improving internet access. The number of internet users was doubled in 2008 along with the download rate.
In his words, the main goal in the upcoming period will be the maintenance of existing and introducing new as well as encompassing all IT systems used by SAF, as well as introducing digital services such as electronic signature.
During the celebration, the colleagues from the Center for IT Systems and IT support as well as their colleagues from the army command took part in the celebration via a video link.The members of IT department single out the project of local computer network of the Institute for Strategic Research which was today launched. This system will enable all the members of this institution to use fast internet and a fast exchange of data.
