Training of Soldiers Serving Military Service in Mixed Artillery Brigade
In the barracks “Mija Stanimirović” in Niš, soldiers of “December 2021” intake, who serve the second period of their military training in the Mixed Artillery Brigade, are undergoing intensive training in the specialities of artillery branch.
In this unit, the soldiers serving military service are assigned to duties within the crews of 152mm gun-howitzers M-84 “Nora” and self-propelled multibarrel rocket launchers 128mm M-77 “Oganj”, where they are trained in executing collective tasks and efficient use of artillery systems.
In line with the use and specificities of the unit, the greatest attention is paid to practicing tactical actions and procedures while emplacing firing position, during transition of a weapon from marching to combat position and appropriate computing and assuming elements for engagement.
The Mixed Artillery Brigade is intended for providing fire support to Army units by engaging targets of tactical, operational and strategic significance at great distances, and conduct of training for the soldiers serving military service enhances possibilities for high quality manning of professional component of the unit.
