Aerial targets firing practice
Members of the 4th Army Brigade Air Defence Artillery Missile Battalion have conducted an aerial targets firing practice at the “Borovac” Training Ground near Bujanovac.
This routine firing practice using the “Strela 2M” MANPADS system aims to maintain and improve the Strela 2M operators and crew’s degree of skill in the combat use of this weapon and to prepare them for live-fire drills.
During the preparations and the execution of firings, which were performed using the aerial target simulator, the personnel practiced tactical and fire procedures used when detecting and tracking a target and launching a missile, and checked whether the missile systems were functioning properly.As the training continues, members of the Army artillery-missile units will perform follow-up firings and aerial target live-fire drills at the “Pasuljanske Livade” Training Ground where their skills will be tested in practice.
