Wreaths laid on Oplenac and Avala



President of Serbia Boris Tadic accompanied by defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, SAF CHOD LTG Miloje Miletic laid commemorative wreaths on occasion of Michaelmas, 15 February, the Day of SAF and the Statehood Day on the Tomb to an Unknown Soldier.

In the memorial book the President wrote: “TO Serbia, great in its people and deeds.”

Furthermore, the MoD and SAF delegation including Deputy CHOD LTG MLaden Cirkovic, commander of the army LTG LJubisa Dikovic and air force commander Ranko Zivak laid a wreath too.

the central ceremony was held in Orasac where 206 years ago the Serbs took up arms in an uprising against the Ottoman Empire’s domination.

The MoD and SAF delegation was led by Undersecretary Igor Jovicic, Colonel Sladjan Ristic, and Navy Captain Vaso Gujic who laid a wreath near the sarcophagus of Karadjordje on Oplenac.
