Army units conduct mock drill
The Army units have conducted a mock drill at the "South" Base and "Borovac" Training Ground this week, performing day and night combat actions using optronic devices.
The first part of the drill demonstrated experience drawn from contemporary armed conflicts, followed by a field exercise consisting of combat actions and procedures undertaken by units on the battlefield including observation and ground and air fire.
The Army units carried out tactical missions in the field, demonstrating their marching procedures, battlefield movements, camouflaging of dispositions, as well as surveillance and target acquisition at night and in restricted visibility.
The drill used modern optronic surveillance devices SAF units are equipped with, along with special camouflage materials developed by the Military Technical Institute.
