New generation of volunteers admitted into military service

The Class of March 2022 has been admitted into military service in the Serbian Armed Forces’ training centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.  Upon their arrival at the barracks, the soldiers underwent mandatory examinations, were issued weapons and equipment and were then assigned to units, where the commanders briefed them on their rights, responsibilities and tasks during their military service.

Over the next month and a half, the young soldiers will be doing basic individual training, after which they will continue performing their military service in specialist training centres.  During the basic training, the soldiers will do drills, get acquainted with army regulations, learn how to handle personal weapons, carry out basic tactical actions and procedures in combat, continuously increasing their level of physical fitness.

Military service lasts for six months and it includes a three-month basic training and individual specialist training at the Training Command centres, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and work of Serbian Armed Forces units until the end of military service.
