Youngest SAF pilots undergo flight instructor training

In addition to performing training flights, the youngest Serbian Armed Forces pilots are undergoing flight instructor training with "Utva" trainer aircraft at the "Colonel-pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.   The training course is attended by second lieutenants from the 204th Air Brigade’s 252nd Training Squadron, who have completed the flight training program and gained the required number of flight hours during their education at the Military Academy, and whose flying skills and work ethic showed that they were ready to move on to specialist training.

They are learning to conduct initial selective training with candidates for admission into the Military Aviation program of study at the Military Academy and candidates wishing to enrol in the Aviation Reserve Officers’ Course.

The pilots are now undergoing all segments of flight training in the role of instructors, from basic, acrobatic, navigation, formation to instrument flying. Previously, they completed a three-month theoretical part of training and received instruction on teaching methodology at the Military Academy.  Once they complete their training, the Serbian Armed Forces will get a new generation of young pilots – flight instructors fully trained to perform initial selective flight training who will train candidates for Serbian Armed Forces pilots, together with their experienced colleagues from the 252nd Training Squadron,.
