Future Air Force and Air Defence NCOs undergo specialist training

Candidates for Air Force and Air Defence non-commissioned officers are doing the third training module at the Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.  This nine-week module provides the future Air Force and Air Defence non-commissioned officers with necessary expert knowledge and skills to perform initial non-commissioned officer duties in Air Defence rocket artillery units, aviation technical units and the air surveillance and early warning units.

The training program includes theoretical and practical instruction on the missile and radar equipment, which teaches candidates how to properly and safely operate and perform basic maintenance of aircraft and air surveillance, early warning and air defence systems.  The final - fourth phase of training is carried out in the Serbian Armed Forces units, where the candidates are trained as aircraft engine mechanics, weapons and equipment repair technicians, radar and missile systems operators and general aviation jobs.

The Air Force and Air Defence NCO Course lasts for six months and includes two basic, one specialist and one internship modules. Candidates who successfully complete all modules will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and become professional members of the Air Force and Air Defence.
