Exhibition "War Image of Serbia in the Second World War, 1941-1945" opened

Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, Rector of the Defence University, opened the exhibition "War Image of Serbia in the Second World War, 1941-1945" by a group of authors from the Požarevac Historical Archive, Military Archive and Military Museum, on February 15 at the National Museum in Valjevo.  - Unfortunately, there were numerous liberation wars in the history of Serbia, and one of the most painful for the Serbian people was the Second World War. We cannot but remember all the fighters and patriots in the period from 1941 to 1945, not only in our region but beyond, in the entire liberal world. That is why we remember with reverence all those who gave their lives fighting against fascism. Reviving that time is not easy at all, because the echoes of suffering caused by war still hurt. The exhibition provides an answer to the question - what is the war image of a country, our country? Our country has always emerged victorious from wars and that is the image of our Serbia - said Lieutenant General Radovanović.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until March 15, 2022.
