Preparations of infantry company for participation in peacekeeping operation

The Third Army Brigade’s infantry company is undergoing training in the "Ratko Pavlović Ćićko" barracks in Prokuplje prior to its deployment to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

This is a part of a several-month pre-deployment training that unit members must undergo in order to be fully prepared for carrying out assigned tasks in the peacekeeping operation.  In this period, the training focuses on tactical, weapons, medical and physical training, getting acquainted with the area of operations where they will be carrying out their tasks, international humanitarian law, rules of engagement and conduct in multinational operations.

In the forthcoming period, the infantry company will undergo intensive collective training at the Multinational Operations Training Centre, where they will practice tactical actions and procedures for performing future tasks in the area of operations, followed by a tactical exercise to test the unit's capability.

The participation of the Serbian Armed Forces infantry company in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) began in 2013, and the unit performs its tasks as part of the Spanish battalion in the multinational brigade in Sector East.
