River Flotilla conducts training activities on Danube
Members of the River Flotilla have conducted training activities and tactical and technical drills on the Danube near Belgrade, in order to check their ability to perform combat tasks in an anchorage or during navigation.
For several days, unit members practiced procedures followed after issuing the combat and mobilization alert and activities undertaken by ship’s crews while performing navigation marches and during the control and reconnaissance of the waterways.
The successful completion of training activities has improved the River Flotilla’s ability to perform tasks during operations on land and inland waterways in a timely and proper manner.
The River Flotilla is a tactical Army unit intended for combat and non-combat operations, manoeuvres and other activities on rivers, navigable canals and lakes, independently and in cooperation with other Serbian defence forces.
