Bilateral military cooperation plan signed with Norway



Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Milorad Peric and Assistant Director for the Security Policy of Norwegian Kjersti Cristina Klæboe signed a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2010 between MoD of Serbia and MoD of Norway.

The military cooperation between the two countries has been rather intensive and the dominant activities are military medical cooperation and the reform of the research activities and military educational system.

The most concrete form of cooperation is the joint deployment of SAF and Norwegian forces in UN mission in Chad. The plan envisions intensifying cooperation, including high-level return visits.

Norway is one of the largest donors to the Serbian MoD and in the previous three years it has donated more than 4 million EUR. Tin the upcoming period another 500, 000 EUR will be donated.
