Training on Cube Air Defence Missile Systems
The 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade’s division armed with Cube missile systems is carrying out intensive training on its locations in order to maintain and enhance its airspace control and protection capability.
In accordance with the units’ purpose, the crews are being trained for the combat use and basic maintenance of the missile systems. Marching drills, emplacement, preparation for and execution of air target engagements are being practiced down to the last detail. Since the successful completion of specific tasks assigned to missile divisions requires teamwork and full training of each individual, the training is organized for technical personnel of both logistic companies and missile batteries, who are tasked with equipment inspection and testing, mounting and reloading of missiles.
The Cube air defence missile system is intended for the destruction of air targets at low and medium altitudes. It is characterized by high mobility and the possibility of centralized command and control at the division level.
