Gen. Miletic at the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Military Committee

SAF CHOD took part at 24th annual meeting of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Military Committee in Brussels, which has gathered NATO and partner countries’ CHODs.

This two-day meeting was also attended by CHODs from 63 countries. This year’s topic was the increase of flexibility of NATO response forces.

During the conference LTG Miloje Miletic addressed the participants stressing the readiness of SAF to actively cooperate within the Partnership for Peace program and to give its contribution to countering regional and global challenges.

General Miletic pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces are continuing with the previously initiated reforms and professionalization and in attaining higher standards. He expressed his hope that KFOR would act neutrally and in accordance with the UN 1244 Resolution, emphasizing that any thoughtless and premature downsizing of KFOR forces could seriously affect its mandate.

General Miletic met with the Russian CHOD Army General Nikolay Makarov, where both colleagues stated that both sides had a mutual interest to promote cooperation in the upcoming period. This was an occasion for Gen. Miletic to invite Gen. Makarov to visit Serbia which invitation was accepted with great satisfaction.
